Soaking up the Sun
EkoKat's simply Loves the Sun. Our solar array is equipped with some of the highest-powered solar panels available today, and there are a lot of them. We also understand 'looks' can be important so rather than cover visible areas of the yacht, we have placed them all entirely on the bimini roof, out of sight to all but the birds in the sky above.
This however initially presented an issue of obstructing the sun's rays from the flybridge and sun-worshipping guests on board. Enter SkyRoof™, a unique Solar Panel Retract System.
The result was the best of both worlds. A giant fixed bimini roof providing complete protection from the rain (should you find yourself out in any), and the glare and penetrating UV rays of the sun on the skippers forehead.
At the press of a button the forward and aft section of the roof retracts to allow the sun to present itself to those on the aft sunbeds or jazuzzi and 8m full beam sun pad, as well as the skipper and guests on the forward raised flybridge sun pad.
Your solar 'pack' is custom-made to suit each customer's demands and climate. Standard issue is designed to accommodate an EkoKat in the relentless heat of summers in the Mediterranean and the Middle East, powering air conditioning throughout, 4 giant televisions,
dumb waiter food elevator from the apartment galley to the flybridge, our internal electric wall system,
electric water toys garage and more ... so we for sure have your needs easily covered.
... and most certainly no noisy, fuming, gas-guzzling generators to live with!
Harnessing The Sun & Retaining Performance
Our enormous and unique retractable Solar Array SkyRoof™ is equipped with the latest and most powerful panels available on the market, and along with monster lithium battery units and an oversized inverter, EkoKat provides all the power you need to run your entire AC system, including all air-conditioning units, four 55' TV's and even a dumb waiter, both night and day. Not to mention the electric watersports garage ~ Oh, and it is no eye-sore, you cannot even see it!
